For the first time in 40 years, county of Santa Clara employees have gone on strike. The 12,000 county employees in the striking union include hospital and social workers, and employees in parks, law enforcement, and libraries.
Given that social workers are part of the strike, I’m not yet sure how this will impact little man’s appointments including our big appointment on Oct. 15. I’ve been told that all appointments may be cancelled and there may be no communication with social workers during the strike. Like the entire process, we’ll take it day by day.
