A year ago today I got a call about a little 2 day old boy that needed an emergency placement and what an incredible year it has been! When we picked him up at the hospital I had no idea that he would still be with us a year later. Sure, it’s been hard at times, but in the hard moments I inhale and take a look at the amazing little boy in front of me.
Little man has grown so much in the last year and as he celebrated his first birthday this past week, I couldn’t help but smile and be thankful for him coming into our lives and filling our hearts with love and hope and mending what were broken hearts.
Thank you to all of you who have supported us with love, babysitting, toys, books, clothes, laughs, and most important, a community. Here’s to many more days together. Happy 1st birthday little man!
