Can you believe that after almost 6 1/2 years, 3 failed adoptions (2 after birth), an agency going bankrupt and 3 little foster boys in my house that we are now 5 weeks away from giving little man my last name?! Some days it feels like forever and other days it seems like yesterday since I started this journey.
This little boy has grown and become his own little person over the last few months. He talks non stop, loves swimming and playing soccer. Sings like he’s a rock star (he loves “Party in the USA”, “Easy on Me”, “Wrecking Ball”, “Circles”, and “AA”) and plays instruments like he was born to be in a band.
His little personality has definitely developed and his cuddly side comes out as often as his funny side. Making funny faces is one of his favorite things to do.
And boy does he love his granny and grannies, aunties, and uncles. He’s definitely a party boy and has FOMO when someone else is around and he has to go to bed.
When he’s not playing with Courage, he’s riding his scooter, reading a book, or watching a train video. He also has become quite the backseat driver and constantly tells me how to get somewhere “go this way, mommy!”, to put both my hands on the steering wheel, and even to slow down or speed up.
I can’t wait to introduce him all to you in a few short weeks! He’ll finally have a real name and a real face…I swear I haven’t been making up a pretend child over the last 3 1/2 years π
Hug your littles and your bigs tonight.
As it’s meant to be!
Itβs been an incredibly hard journey that is at long last coming to this happy HAPPY ending!! Maeve, I love your resilience, fortitude, perseverance and unending love for your Little Man. He is EXACTLY where he should be! Hugs to you both!πβ€οΈ
